About

Atty. Aristotle Batuhan, that’s yours truly, worked as an undersecretary at the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) from June 30, 2010 to October 15, 2011.

I am likewise a special counsel at the Batuhan Blando Concepcion and Trillana Law Offices and now involved in the prosecution panel in the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona.

Perhaps because I was named Aristotle — as in the philosopher or the tycoon — I have this inclination for laws and leading people towards effecting change since I was young. But people seems to have a hard time calling me Aristotle.

Known in Manila circles as Aris, Cebuanos call me Totol. This is my childhood nickname when I grew up in what is known as Cebu City’s south district and during my student days at the University of the Philippines Cebu Campus (UPCC) and the University of San Carlos (USC).

Classmates and friends at the University of the Philippines in Diliman then later when I went to Harvard started calling me Aris. Still, I always love to be back home in Cebu. And in Cebu, I am Totol.

Feel free to interact with me through this blog or my personal Facebook account ‘Totol Batuhan‘ or join us at our ‘Abante Barangay‘ community. I can likewise be reached at totol_batuhan@yahoo.com or totolbatuhan@gmail.com.
